Created as a splash page for my website.
Mostly created in Illustrator - some toon-shaded 3d work for reference, and a little photo reference also used. Modified photo used for the sky background.
Ported over to Photoshop for the specular bloom, highlights, fog, color correction and rain.

I like the clean lines and soft atmosphere. It kind of reminds me of certain anime movies, except they didn’t use this kind of pastel color palette, which I really love, BTW. Nice work!

the lighting looks really cool on the sides of the buildings on the left, but what would be creating that kind of light on a cloudy day? i do see that there is some kind of glowing coming from the upper right corner, but i’m not sure what it is. it looks really cool though.
