I have an image plane with an image sequence on it that is a png file, which I’m trying to render with mental ray (in Maya 2016). When I render it in a single image, it renders like it
does in the first link.
However, when I go to render the actual animation I have, it renders as it does in this second link.
I’ve tried to render in different formats; png, tiff, targa, jpeg, different names for the files, different locations, as much as I could
think of. They don’t have any nodes on it, it’s just a free image plane that I’ve put an image sequence on, without any editing to the default settings. I’ve searched the internet for an answer, but couldn’t find
one.
Perhaps mental ray has a problem with image sequences? It doesn’t make sense to me, however, that a single frame by itself renders the way
I want it to, but not when I render multiple frames.
