Illustrator file import problem

Greetings,

Combustion crashes everytime I try to import an Illustrator (.ai) file. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a way to remedy it?

Crash occurs after I choose the file and hit the “process” button.

Combustion 3.0.1 Mac OSX 10.3.9

Any help would be appreciated.
