i work in 3D MAX and i need to get information about which areas on object are illuminated and use it as mask for opacity. The reason is i got video sequence shot at night and i want to illuminate environment with CG light. I recreated scene and used materials from photos shot at daytime to match photorealism. Now i need only to use areas from my daytime scene that are illuminated and for rest use nighttime video sequence. Im not sure that i aproach this right but i cant thing of any concept to match photorealism. I hope its clear and that i post this on correct forum. Thank you
