Hello. I am creating a character rig, and I am having an issue. I am currently creating the ik portion of the arm rig. I have a joint chain running from Shoulder to Elbow to Forearm to Wrist. As I have done several times in the past (and according to many google results), I make the IKRP handle from shoulder to forearm, and I snap the pivot of the effector to the wrist. I have done this several times in the past and it worked just fine. For some reason now it doesn’t work, often resulting in a maya crash.

In the end, I select the effector, and try to “Pivot Mode” “Point-Snap” it to the wrist. It fails. Maybe thinking it was my prefs, I tried this exact thing on my laptop (Dell Precision m6500, maya 2011 sp1, newly reset prefs), and the exact same issue happened.
