After you watch theses Flight documentaries you’ll trully appreciate Vue and animation. Wow. Can’t wait for Vue to add Hypervoxel\fire type effects.

“The VUE capable stuff starts…” & “all creatable with VUE”

What’s the point here? Was Vue used?

FOR me…it provides a clear rendition of how my Vue Cloud/planes/after burner/Missles projects should look. Now I have a CLEAN example for what to shoot for. Some of the video angles were amazing…and to know Vue could be used to reproduce most of those Shots is absolutely great. Again…That AWAKS imagery is awsome

Big bang animation did all of the visual effects work here -

This is their site

As far as I can tell, some some of the planes and missile launch effects were cg, but the environments are all real. The doc was made in 2004, and even if vue is capable of those effects now (somewhat doubtful), it certainly wasn’t five years ago - especially at 4K (IMAX).

Now I have a CLEAN example for what to shoot for.

If you mean something that looks real, then yes, you do. :stuck_out_tongue: Other than that, why choose these videos to demonstrate what Vue ‘should’ be able to do - why not

THIS ONE?

If you’re a fighter plane fan, I’m assuming you’ve looked at RealtimeUK’s amazing work on ‘Stormbirds’? They did use Vue for a number of the landscapes, and fumefx for the missile effects and explosions. The tools are already there, admittedly as a high cost.
