ID matte

Hi.I notice that when using ID matte for either object ID or material ID, it doesnt extract out the info cleanly.There’s always some pixel info of the bg. Is this the norm? or are there some settings i need to set? I’m using 3ds max and testing on RPF format.

Because of filtering your going to get some of the bordering pixels unless the color around it is black. It’s just the nature of the beast. Also make sure you background is black unless your rendering an environment.
