ICE: Non Destructive?

#1

I ran into a problem today when assigning ICE (Simulated tree) to one of my objects. The object is animated and uses some animated deformers (curve-deform, lattice, twist).

When i applied ICE it screwed up all the deformers/ animations.

Why is that? I thought ICE was non-destructive.

Any ideas?

“By default, the initial state of a simulation is the result of the regions below the Simulation region on the first frame at which the simulation environment is active (see The ICE Simulation Environment). When the simulation is active, the regions below the Simulation
region are not re-evaluated.”
