IBL ( image based lighting ) and HDR 360 panos

I see that blender supports the openEXR file format for HDR images, but is there a render engine that supports global illumination? I was hoping write scripts to interface the freely available SIBL software for use with Blender.

I think 3Delight does and Lux and Yafaray. All free external render systems that support IBL from Blender.
