#1571

michael-olszak,

Thank you! Looking forward to your sketches.

Queensoul,

Thanks! Counting down the days to Florence?

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

#1572

Yes ma’am :). Kinda roughing all the elements in.
Florence? Oh yeah, definitely counting the days.

#1573

digital-bobert: I love how you captures the precise likeness with so few brushstrokes. Awesome job!
Rebeccak: AMAZING GOVERNATOR! :open_mouth: Just wow.
Queensoul: Love how the painting’s coming along.

Picked 2 kind of (okay, really) old refs… Plus, I wanted to see if I could do the pointy lady any better than the first time I did it.

I need a lot more practice with watercolor.

#1574

Queen, I just added a ref of the ā€œbattle of the centaursā€, a marvel carved by Michelangelo around age 16 !
This a truly magnificent piece, if you have the time during your trip to visit the Casa Buonarroti , where this sculpture is stored together with other works by the artist, you won’t regret it.

#1575

Have I told you how awesome you are?

#1576

Well Queen, I simply happen to know Florence (and other Italian cities, for that matter) quite well.

#1577

Queensoul,

The face is really looking great, I just think the body and arms need some love. The purple element behind is quite interesting, what is it?

ComradeBitter,

Thanks for the compliment! It’s great to see your participation here! I wonder, is watercolor really the best medium in which to work? I personally could never get watercolor to really work for me, and dislike that I can’t really change much once it’s down. I like your pencil lines, and would really like to see more of that! I also think your digital work is quite nice, and would love to see you push that medium further!

tizianoadmirer,

Thanks again for all the great ref!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

#1578

Yep. Still wipping it. Although I didnt work on it today. Too much work in the office

Playing around with different shapes and positions of angel wings. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes you are :stuck_out_tongue:

#1579

Did another value study. Nothing much to say about it really, here it is:

#1580

Oh, NB: used a ref from thread 1 and took 10-15 minutes to do this. Tried not to use the blender too much because I tend to disguise wrong lines that way:).
