JoseHerb,

I’m in Helen Keller (images only show as links) mode right now since I’m at work, but when I click on your links, they’re fine.

Great to see your stuff again!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Great sketches Piggy!
And everybody else of course!

eeeeek! 20 minutes Artrage. It was a tough ride…

JoseHerb - thanks man  the cross-hatching on those muscles on the first is awesome, and the jogger at the end really has a great sense of movement. Hope to see more of your stuff

Art2 - nice sketch, wha’d you use as a reference?

#1147

Thanks Al!

You can find the ref in the ref thread.

Yeah that image is awesome, I cant get over the look on Michael’s face. Like, ‘hey, you cant touch this… la la la la’. Sweet sketches.

Piggie you are right about those deceptively simple poses ending up giving problems. Oh I can testify to that personally.

Keep it coming guys

#1152

Yeah the first one was a bit long, but there were two figures.

zhuzhu
- nice watercolor! I’ve never had any luck with watercolors, they’re so permanent; no real erasing/adjusting :frowning: You make it look easy! Amazing job.

#1153

Ye gods, Zhu Zhu, your work is ASTOUNDING. How can you get all that done in 15 minutes? And the watercolour pieces especially! Insane. o__o
Nice job capturing the motion, Al.

Finally picked up real media after gods know how many months… Also realized that I can’t manage space for beans. :stuck_out_tongue:

Stuff with photoshop.

Any and all critique VERY appreciated. Help me stop being a hopeless amateur. ;_;

#1154

ComradeBitter - thanks  I like your photoshop figures, especially your color choices for the highlights. You can really feel the natural light on the female runner, great work

#1155

Some very impressive work in here! keep on going every one…

Some really quick ones

#1156

ComradeBitter,

Welcome aboard! I like your traditional sketches especially.

seth1,

Nice to see you back! Nice sketches! May I suggest using a more precise medium?

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

The fencing girl just wasn’t happening :banghead:

Nice ones, seth1.

#1158

Al_Morrow,

You’re using Painter, right? I think it would be cool to see you try the other brushes, such as charcoal, pastel, etc. ~ I think it would give you better control. What brush are your currently using?

Cheers,

Rebecca,

I’m actually using photoshop, drawing with a 7-px hard round brush, and smudging with a 60-px spatter brush…I’m quite new to digital painting/drawing, just got a tablet for Xmas and am still learning to use it  I’ll try using some smaller brushes though, thanks for the advice  - Al

Hi Allison,

I had to say ‘Wow!’ out loud. That Tai Chi uniform in your first pic, … I think it is, is captured like a silver shiny syrup. Astonishing material if it was to exist. Its a great effect and a pretty special effort if you just got the tablet at Christmas.

Carry on. Great work.
