i have one question, when animators append CG in a video how to show program what is a front place or which places are behind? example: if you standing in front of monster(or something) if you will not use green screen how it’s possible to program knew that u’re a subject and you aren’t 2 dimensional? like i i want to hold CG weapon it’s possible?

another question 
if you use green screen place behind that must be blank it’s means you need perfect clean footage to add it behind the first layer?
