I need opinions and critics

#1

Hello, I have just graduated from college. I studied 3d Animation and specialized in rigging. We were very few riggers in my class so I would like some opinions and critics on my riggs.
Any constructive criticism or advice would be very appreciated.

This is my graduation demoreel:

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Nice reel. But, there’re some deformation that aren’t very good looking there.

At 0:24 when the mechanic arm stretch, the hand spins, did you do this on purpose? If so, do you have some kind of switch for manual control for the animator?

And there’re some mistake, one I can obviously see at 1:18 when you blink the eyes and some verts on the upper lip moves.

Hope you don’t mind my critic.

That is exactly what I’m after. Thank you very much!

Hey there,

Nice reel, great jobs on the rigs just that a few things i can comment on what i see.
One thing is about the controllers, it plays a great part for the animators which as a rigger we need to figure out the best way/option to make it easy for them to express what they need to express with creative freedom(one of the common feedback that i always get is to much controller makes the rig looks messy/confusing).
The other thing from what i see is you have little skinning on your reel. One of the challenges as a rigger is to rigs to do things with as little problem with the mesh as we could. so there is a lot of work around that each rigger use personally.maybe you can word on that.

then again, this is just my comment hope it helps
