I can't find good tutorials for V-Ray :(

#1

if i type v-ray in google i get only bad tutorials, with bad shaders. how can i easily create physically correct shaders without learning 100 hours of entering numbers in vray materials? :smiley:
are there free shaders with photorealistic materials?
is shader == material?
or is shader =! material?

Is there anything or anyone that can help over at the Chaos site?
I would try over there before here.Seems pretty active.

Start with http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/1022/V-Ray-Fundamentals%3A-Materials%2C-Lights-and-Linear-Workflow#.VkEzw7eDFBc

Then

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/981/Efficient-Cinematic-Lighting#.VkEzvLeDFBc

They are out there, just don’t look at digital tutors, they are quite lacking in terms of quality.

You can also ask me for advice as I use Vray quite a lot at work and have a pretty good undertanding of how it works.

This site offers a good start although a lil old.

For more in-depth, check out Grant Warwick’s mastering V-ray series.
