how would you achieve this?

my project involves animating a circle like cmyk color and the idea when they mix
but when i tried using blending modes it didnt give the desired result.
anyone have tried this?

Create 3 layers with the according colors, set the blendmodes to substract.

Thanks, im using cs4 and quite trickier to achieve the subtract. it work on 2 color but still exprimenting when 3 colors combined.

Precompose it.
Btw, your colors aren’t cmy, they are red, yellow, blue.
