How to use Vray RT (for MAYA) with HDRI images for IBL?

Hey guys,

i was experimenting with Vray RT FOR MAYA these days…

I have an big issue i just cant solve:

What is the propper way/workflow to use HDRI images for image based lighting in conjunction with Vray RT for Maya?

 When I assign a HDRI image as usual (via the render settings ->     vray tab -> environment) and activate GI (irr. map +brute force)     the scene stays black using RT. I found a video tutorial which says     you have to use a dome light, but when i do this (using the HDRI     image as texture for the dome light), the screen also stays black     with RT. Using just the dome-light without any texture works. All     other normal lights also work fine. (e.g. rect. and so on). 
 
 I would be glad about some hints what goes wrong here (or better     said what I do wrong here, hehe), since RT would really speed up my     shading and rendering workflow.
