Hello,
I have created a Raptor model, then went for a high resolution mesh with details on ZBrush then used it back in maya with a diplacement map.
Thus far everything is going well, but i find myself with a very symmetrical model made of multiple meshes (body, teeth, eyes etc), and so to pose it i tried combining them all and skinning them to a skeleton and then move the joints to get the pose i wanted.

Then i realised the displacement didn’t work anymore, since it was all one mesh now, and i can’t find a solution on how to deal with posing the model, except moving every part one by one.
Here is what it looks like without posing :

I tried detaching the skin once it was posed, then separating the pieces again to apply the displacement only to the body, but the render went extremely slow (“preparing the scene” for a few minutes whereas it took less than two minutes to render the whole thing earlier) and the displacement didn’t work anyway :

So is there a way to make this work? It may be very simple but i can’t find how…
Thanks in advance !
