How to set up a Link Constraint without using 'Link Constraint'


I’m trying to make a script that will do something very specific. Basically, how would you do a Link Constraint without doing a Link Constraint? By this I mean, how would you link a child object to a parent object purely via math in maxscript without actually linking the two using 3dsmax built in Link Constraint tool?

And thus every time you click a button, the script would update the transform of the child in respect to the parent object to which it’s ‘linked’ to?
