how to model this hexagon like shape in maya

Hello everybody,

I need your help on this shape which I cannot see how to model. It looks like hexagon cylinder but I just don’t get to see it. If you help me I would be really happy.

I tried cylinder and cube primitives but I didn’t work how I wanted.

By trying it, I found the solution. I started with 6 subdivision axis but I didn’t work then I changed it until 36. If Somebody is dealing with Hexagon, you need 6 edges inside and 6 edges outside which make 12 edges. For detailing it as the shape I posted 3 more edges per LINE let’s say, makes 12*3=36 edges. I think this is the best way to deal with it.

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Just boolean 2 cylinders…to get 1 corner. Then copy rotate the corner to get the hexegon shape. Use a 6 sided cylinder clinder as a guide for the pivot points.
