How to mix layered material by Fresnel IOR?

I am not sure but I think the AO detail might now be a string option for mila as it is moved to the rendering core as a global feature. I remember definitely seeing something about this but cannot remember where

I took a look at the 2015 mr docs and it is listed there.

After reading everything in those links it sounds very cool Chuckie.

Instead of coloured AO this “diffuse detail distance” acts like a limit for the brute force path tracing distance for any given shader and after that it blends into the FG result which in my opinion sounds like a cool progression from the old AO-mia-FG technique.

I would love to see some tests of this sometime, maybe an idea to start a new thread? :wip:
