How to lock a layer to a 3d object (RPF)

#1

Hello,

i am trying to make a scene with a fighterjet following a moving camera and after a few seconds passing the camera. i want to attach a real person (bitmap) in the cockpit of the fighterjet
just for a test i created all objects in 3d max and rendered it as a RTF sequence.
Next thing i did was importing the rtf sequence and a bitmap of my pilot in combustion.
my question is how i can lock or attach a layer to an moving 3d object, in this case my fighterjet? the z space seems to be working ok, but i have no idea how to do this. is it possible to track a 3d object? can i use 3dmax camera points or helpers?
anyone have a solution? thankss

Try that one

it’s for particles, but can adapted to your task easily.

thanks, but there is one problem with that tutorial. the particle is not really moving in a 3d space. i mean its not getting bigger when its moving towards the camera.
in my case the picture needs to rescale when the plane is moving closer to the camera.
its possible of course to do it by hand, but there should an option to link something to a an object…
