How to input footage over existing effects?

This is a really nooby question, but I seem to have a hard time inputing simply .tga files into C4, and have Combustion behave itself by comping the .tga file OVER the effects, not behind them, not only that, but having the inputed files remain unaffected by CC or other color changing effects. Thanks

You should be able to right click on “composite” (or whatever you have named it) in the bottom left workspace area, choose “import footage” and choose the footage you want to import. It will put this footage at the top on the composite as it’s own layer without any effects added, so you can just click and hold down on the footage in the workspace window, and drag it down below the footage you want it to be below. The order of the items in the workspace window is the order that the footage is layered. Does that make sense?
