How to disable X?

I constantly hit it and symmetry turns off. I wish I could turn off this shortcut. How can I make this?

You can customize hotkeys

you want to assign the letter X to some thing that does not change any thing when you press X
so assign the hot key X to zscript >RUN

RUN is on by default and is not a switch,
a switch turns on by pressing it and turns off when you press it again.
RUN does not work like a switch, it allways stays on when you press it again,
in other words nothing changes, you dont want things to change when your modeling.
so when you press X which is the RUN hot key then nothing happens to changes thing

Thank you guys. I found another way. I simply enabled customize menus, and then docked enable symmetry and x to the visible palette, so I can always check it quickly. :thumbsup:

i thought your post was how to disable X
what your wanting from your last post is to see if its on.
put the X from transform menu and drag it to the right shelf for your custom ui.
personally i just wave my cursor over the 3d object to see if its on by seeing how many red dot cursor shows up
