How to create/configure realistic horse skin pattern/color?

Hi Team,

I am creating a scene in photo shop and have drawn a horse.
I want to fill color/pattern in horse skin.

Can anybody help me how I can make realistic horse in Photoshop?

easiest way. Not the quickest way.

1.Find photo of a horse.
2. Duplicate what you see on your horse.

Try Filters>Render>Fibers.

Play with the settings until you get the desired result. Then you can add layers above it with the proper blend mode that looks good to paint in any variations or patterns.
