How to controll the roll of a foot?

#1

Hi

I have searched now for a while but I could not find anything.
So you guys are my last help!
I’m looking for an easy and fast way th controll the roll of a foot.

I already worked out the foot rig from the 3DBuzz tutorial.
But it is hard to handel and I had keying problems.

With the usual controll rig and the floor contacts I had foot
sliding problems.

I hope you can help…
Thanks!!!

sounds like an interpolation fix (function curves edit but i cant be sure)

I usually fix this by for example in a walk cycle first creating poses. I then paste poses ensuring they are matched to the toe base rather than the heel. I then flatten the handles of the motion curves of the heels.

 First thank you for reading my question.

The last two days I had time to work on this problem.
And now I run fine by just pinning the toes, and using
an auxilery-pivot at the ankle.

I will try out creating poses first as well.

To biggyninja: I tryed to animate a walk cycle and had the problem
to get a clean roll of the foot with out sliding over the ground.
So I’m looking for a easy way to do this, becouse I will do
a lot walk cycles in the next few weeks.

Thank you for the replies!
