How to Combine and separate polygons

Hi, I’m a maya user new to soft… I was wondering if anyone knew how to Combine and separate polygons in softimage?

If theyre in different meshes Model > Polymesh there is Merge and Extract Polygons
In case theyre in the same you`ll need to use the basic modelling tools like Duplicate Polygons ect. : )
