How to bevel in Maya?

Hello everybody,

I’ve been using Maya for almost 4 years and still dont know how bevel properly. How would you bevel this object here:

Any suggestions are appreciated! :slight_smile:

Dont you think is too much time four years using maya and dont know how to properly bevel on it?

First thing first: You can use 2 methods here.

  1. Bevel selecting the desired edges and using the bevel tool
  2. Using insert edge loop tool and adding edges near the border of the mesh and smoothing the mesh.

Now you have two reason to look for. But four years man is too much time for beveling, this is basic stuff. I also include the image with the above mentioned methods.
