Hello, just wondering is there a correct or easier way to animate an object or character being slice in half.
At the moment the way I am doing the slice animation is to first slice my mesh with the multi cut tool.
Detach the “sliced” edge, and fill hole
After all of it was done I will animate it frame by frame manually.
This method is suitable for simple animation. But is will be a nightmare to animate an action packed scene where multiple objects being slice at once. Furthermore, how do one approach a rigged mesh(character) being slice in half. I have try to “slice the character” using the method mentioned before the rigging it but it will end up limiting some of the movement as some dynamic action will expose the “slice” area.
So, is there a way to easier way to achieve mentioned task ? Expert guidance is really appreciated.
