im trying to achieve this effect in ps:

(the glow/burn effect of the black dots)

i tried using the glow effect with a color burn layer style, but i’m not expirienced with this kind of things and could not get close enough to this look.

maybe someone can help me with this.

I’m new to this forum and I’m surprised that nobody else took the time to respond to you. Just like you I’m new to digital arts, but I went through enough tutorials to know a thing or two about this.

I’m from corel Painter mostly, but a trick about the glow effect is to …say…if you want a glowy yellow like the one in your picture, when you pick your color, try using a very very dark tone of yellow in your color panel. Like pick one almost close to the black point. Then try to glide the thing on your drawing. A golden glow with a better tone should appear. The error to make is trying it with a light color. I can’t explain why but it’s like that, pick a very very dark version of the color you want.
