How do you close a NURBS surface?

How do you close a NURBS surface?
I have this and want to close it, is there something like “remove doubles”.
Kind of messy edit for nurbs “edit”…
…I don’t get it

Nurbs are very basic in Blender, you’ll get better results with subsurf + smooth or even better by trying one of the last version of 2.50 where some modifiers can now be applied on curves. (http://www.graphicall.org/builds/ )

Basically the manual explain that well:

Usually I box model but wanted to experiment with NURBS. I guess that “c” command closes a curve but not a form?
Doesn’t seem to me that Alpha 2 at this stage support extrude NURBS…

Still though, is it possible to close the surface?

Thank you for the help

[c] closes surfaces too, at least in stable version of Blender.

Works well for me too (2.49b).

I notice Nurbs curve exists in both curves and surfaces menus, can be confusing and doesn’t work the same.
But that’s something I rarely use, nurbs are made for more specific tasks that I do not practice.

Haha yea lol that worked, lol was too easy for my brain to comprehend.
Thanks for the help guys.
Gonna experiment with this a little

Hmm stumbled upon another thing, is it possible to close the highlighted opening?
the “c” command didn’t work for that…

#8

I’d said no, you can’t… (until I’m wrong)

But if some coders want to join the nurbs dev program to solve and improve that, they are welcome… :wise:

There was already this problem on this forum.
Just extrude the edge, scale a little, extrude again, scale to zero.

ok appreciate it, thanks again.
