How do I search forum?

Hi colleagues.
I seem not being able to search forums, as when I use “search” bar on the top, it gives me vague results. I can’t search a specific forum or limit search by thread names only, as it was previously. Maybe I’m missing something?

No. You’re not missing anything. Search sucks. There doesn’t seem to be any sort of advanced search functionality. The best you can do is just sort, but that’s usually not much help. Refining your search criteria does little too.

google may be useful when you use some advanced search terms. Like search in a single doman:

Site:domainname.com whatisearchfor

Do I keep the word whatsearch for in front of the item?
What if I need to search a specific subforum?

No. When you for example search for polygon then search for:

Site:https://forums.cgsociety.org polygon

or

Site:forums.cgsociety.org polygon

But it is google search. It cannot know the categories here :slight_smile:
