How do i save preferences?

#1

specifically, i want to turn off multi-threading. it is always on when i start zbrush. i turn it off, i store config and it’s on again next time i restart.

#2

not 100% sure but the orange buttons are called switch like a light switch where you turn some thing on or off when doing a diagnostic test, when the diagnostic test is done you can save the config of the test but not save the switch to be on or off.
the switch is are only used for diagnostic test and once done your saving the performance
and not saving a on or off button.
in other words your not gaining any thing or losing any thing by storing config of a switch,
once the diagnostic test is done your storing the config of the performance

thanks. i don’t think i fully understand it, but i kinda do :stuck_out_tongue:

So in effect, you disable MT with the button>save config. Now ZB’s state is saved with MT off regardless of whether or not the button is on/off.

#5

but i can tell multi threading is on because my tablet lags on my computer. when i turn it off, it draws fine. i have to turn it off every time.

#6

Are you using a Wacom tablet? If so, then rollback the driver. The later drivers cause known lagging issues. Plus, you never mentioned anything about this in your OP. MT works perfect here…

#7

thank you. i’ll do that.
