How 2 - layers & blend modes?

#1

Lets say I want to put some layers together as follows:

LeftEye_footage (mutiply) Cyan Solid

Added to (+)

RightEye_footage (multiply) Red Solid

How do I actually set that up? Do I need to make a new comp with Line 1, a new comp with line 2, and add the two comps?

If it were node based it would be a snap. But I don’t get the layering. Even in Photoshop you can make groups and give the groups their own blend modes.

How in AE?

The question is about layer grouping and manipulation, not specifically about how to view anaglyph 3d

#4

(see diagram above)

I have 4 layers: A, B, C, and D

How do I multiply (A * B)

then multiply (C * D)

then add the AB pair to the CD pair?

Do I need to make an (A * B) comp, and a (C * D) comp, and add the comps?

#5

Yes, exactly. Create two pre-comps, then combine them in a main comp. Sorry if I misunderstood your initial question.
