hot keys or similar?

I’d like to be able to switch my brush modes (not layer modes) while painting between overlay, linear dodge, multiply, normal etc. by just hitting a hot key rather than pulling it down from the mode menu. If anyone knows if this already exists in Photoshop, or if not, how to set it up, please fill me in, thanks!

You can change blending mode using shortcut keys too. I can’t remember every single shortcut command for each blending mode but here is my favourite blending mode that I can recall:

Normal: Alt+Shift+N
Multiply: Alt+Shift+M
Screen: Alt+Shift+S
Linear Dodge: Alt+Shift+W

Try google for it using keywords such as “photoshop blending mode keyboard shortcut” or similar. I remember I did find it tedious to keep pulling down the menu to change the blending mode settings which prompt me to look for a solution for it.

Also this works for the layer pallete when you’re selecting tool such as Move and Lasso.
