HMC 24 - Weta Workshop Challenge - King Kong

#1

Hi everyone
I’ll try to do a full model, hope i’ll have a time to finish him

I maked a quick doodles for head and a body. Body was created in zbrush by zsphere and export to 3dsmax and added hand and foot  head was created by zsphere and added teeth etc.

its a really quick sculpt (a few hours for everything) i’m still fighting with proportions
head is barely touched, he still needs a houers of hard work
cheers

great sculpting!
do you plan on sculpting the hair?

#8

Hi
Jeepster–>thanks, im do not thinging about hair but probably i do not sculpt them, maybe i use some hair plugs like 3ds max’s hair and fur or hair farm etc.
cheers

Sweet model.

Are you gonna detail it even further ?

and about the hair: i think it would be simply great to do such a thing for fun alone.
But for the modeling challenge it won’t add anything of value. If you do the hair you will loose all modeling in the end.
Maybe do both?

cheers
