hehe, i think thats the weird eye-mesh :D, i tried to only make the pupil go inside, because i wanted the cornea bulge for correctly modeling the eyelids, so the dont intersect too much if i am going to create “real eyes” for that.
I changed the eye-mesh now, it doesn’t look that fierce anymore.
And i found out that the reference image i posted is a “reamake” of the original painting, but i couldn’t find any high-res image of the old painting, only in small size and always only crops


in that image he looks not that dreamy, more majestic, with eyes looking more straight and maybe the slightly gray beard-hair. I will definately go with this original painting style for the eye-orientation ^^ and for the armor, which looks much more natural and hand-crafted on the old picture (of course only if i find enough time, doing some the more sculpting that comes with that)
ok, so not much new here, only made a base mesh for the hair, the cube down there is only reference where aprox the armor / shoulders will be.
and i changed the eye-mesh, as said
