HMC#21: QOTRM - Queen with Jetpack

#41

My guess is face mask in the left hand. Awesome work!!! I think I agree with Wyatt on maybe squaring her shoulders a bit more. Although it’s cool as it is too. She’s very cool and casual, and ballsy smoking a cigarette with a jet pack on her back. Pretty badass.

#42

Pretty good stuff dude… the pose is luking pretty appealing , i agree with wyatt about the shoulders…again … nice work on the wrinkles …wats your next step ?? is this done ??

#43

Oh, and another thought. I would say definitely persevere on creating a normal map or displacement map for this since this is supposed to go to the fxWars guys and therefore be animateable.

#44

Yea, that’s a gas mask on her left hand. To make it more visible, I have rotated it. I have done a high res render from zbrush, coming to the conclusion that a 3dsmax render might not work. Timrozek, I am not sure if I’ll be retopolozing this model for the fxwars guys. I don’t know if i’ll have the time. Sanket, TY.

Anyway, I adjusted a few things in this render, like the cigarette, and the gas mask. Hope you guys like it.

love it man! great work

#46

Oh yes, very easy to see now. All the pieces blend together very well. Fantastic job, are you done?

#47

Antony, Wyatt, Thank you guys. I would say, it is almost over, but i am trying a few things out. I’ll post other views and updates soon.

#48

this is awesome work…

the only thing I would suggest is soften up a bit her facial features…

I would suggest taking some inspiration from the face of a beauty of the time
who also had stron features
Like Katharine Hepburn

Roberto, nice of you to drop by…well, i have actually modelled the face after the women of the silent era. I think it’s the render that actually does injustice to the features. By “soften the features”, you are talking about softening the zygomatic bones, and the forehead being too pronounced right? Hope I have done justice to your concept

Here’s a turntable for the queen.

Dont forget to post your final entry on this thread:

Queen Of The Rocketmen: Post your Final Entry

#54

Hey Guys, Thank you for your replies. Here are the final shots. I’ll also post them on the final entry page tomorrow. Here are the orthos

Most of the parts are constructed by zspheres, so they dont have a good wireframe. I’ll try to export them to max, and and render a wireframe while I post them tomorrow.
