HMC #21 Alanise,Jojo,TheRazorsEdge: Queen attack to zeppelin

#21

whew…those look awesome! inspiring keep it up! :applause:

#22

I’m loving the architecture on your building! Fanciful but it makes sense.

#23

Man, when I saw the first pic I had no idea how much detail you were putting into this building. That is some great work, keep swimming.

#24

Thanks guys - it is my favorite style of architecture so I may get carried away - be warned.

#25

great modelling, cant wait to see more progress

#26

Another update variations of the jetpack design

#27

I love all the period detail and design. I especially like the flintlock handle on the chaingun.

The only crit I would have is that it was difficult on the earlier shots to tell what the scale was. On the recent ones I saw the figures though.

Great design and modelling.

#28

Okay so I started to think about the airship landing more. We had talked about maybe doing a fight scene with our queen from there with a docked zeppelin so as planning out windows I ended up doing more of the airship station interior which is open to the landing. Only have a few hours tonight but will continue tomorrow.

from the upper interior deck of the airship station landing

just starting on the landing details

#29

blah going to a birthday dinner but I worked on the bridge from the landing to zeppelin I still have to work on the machinery that actually turns it but the bridge rotates nicely in and out of position.

bridge out connection to zeppelin cabin

Bridge in rotation

bridge closed

overall building with additions for reference

I really like your 3rd jetpack design. Plus what 3d software do you use? Your grayscale renders look so good too. Vray? Brazil? Anyhoo, keep up the good work your WIP is quite inspiring.

#31

I use 3ds max and vray - not sure what jojo used for his clay rendering of the jetpacks I love the jetpacks jojo did a great job!!

#32

You are doing great…realy like that building.

#33

Nice!

I like the jetpack and gun designs!

#34

thanks and sorry for the late reply… so the trick is … white vray material , su vray sun and everything ad default (and vray camera) also remeber to use daylight correction in vray camera to avoid yellowish look
I’m dressing the queen… so update will come soon !

#35

getting close to wrapping up the building cause to keep on jojo’s schedule I need to start textures.

so building updates finished the landing bridge, landing environment, and added some arch and canopy work to the jet pack landing hall

#36

Wow I really like the design and the level of detail you have put on that building!

#37

Here the queen update
Props are ready

#38

small back of the building update

#39

okay jojo wanted to simplify the environment and have a clean horizon line (no back mountains) from first concept I did so I messed a bit with the terrain around building and blocked out supports and paddle wheel that seemed to jump out at me as I did the terrain. I am now out of time for today so here is an update of where I stopped.

#40

Amazing. I cant wait to see this all textured and stuff. did you start with orthographic views of the queen or just dived in? Keep up the great work!
