Hi, im trying to use a 3ds max translucent shader to create the effect of a child with a torch under a blanket so the blanket ‘glows’ but im having trouble with it. It wont work with shadows enabled meaning i cant cast a shadow onto the cloth and at the moment it glows but it produces a very very noisy render that takes an age even at 640x480.
Can anyone suggest a workaround or can anyone help me better understand the way this shader works?
