Hey there CG! I'm just a Learner of VFX Asking for a little help with Wings

My name is Egas, If you only take the time to read this, I still thank you. I once saw THESE WINGS on the TV show Lucifer Season 2 Episode 5, I’m now trying to create My own angel wings in MAYA 2015 and fell in love with the look of URIEL’s wings in that episode, I’d like to know how these guys might’ve made the “feather flow” at the top of the wings, as I cannot find any tutorials of how one would go about making the feathers flow at the top of bird wings. I have 2 example pictures of what I’m talking about from the episode, I can make all feathers below that drape down as they’re supposed to, it’s just making the top part flow along to the end of bird wings, Is it xGen?, ZBrush?, Cinema4D? Some other Hair/fur Simulation tool that can use geometry based Instancing? Or?. ANY words of suggestion or guidance would be helpful, I thank you so much for reading this and Hope you guys can help.

It looks like pretty standard instancing, it can be achieved with any number of hair tools, including xgen or yeti. You groom (brush) a load of curves which defines the flow and layout of your feathers, and then the instancer will replace those with feather shaped geometry or curves.
