[WORK-IN-PROGRESS THREAD](http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=208&t=1207586)

Total Project time: 90Hours (Approx)
Software: Maya

Jayce and the Wheeled warriors was one of my most favorite shows growing up. Looking back at the episodes now, I see how they tossed a lot of logic out the window. Still, I wanted to re-imagine some of the vehicles and characters in a way that was more updated, and would make more sense; with more aggressive, sleeker styling, but still recognizable enough for old-schoolers to relate to the final designs.

I didn't get to work on Oon. Partially because I feel I did quite a bit in the time-frame, and partially because I did not know how his Lance would fit inside of Armed force (cartoon physics dagnabbit)...Plus...He would have been totally lost in the diorama and final render. Jayce is barely visible as it is behind the broken canopy. (see W.I.P thread for Jayce details) I think I went overboard with the suspension on Armed-Force...trying to make a re-design. In retrospect, I think I should have stayed with the original Baja-Truck style suspension.

All in all, this is my first time entering a hardcore modeling challenge, and I have to say, I had loads of fun. I feel like the challenge forced me to push myself further. It was great getting feedback and interacting with members of the community, rather than lurking in the shadows like I always do. It was great watching all the progressions from everyone as well.

Peace out, and good luck to one and all. We did awesome!

Hi Res

WIP Thread

I originally started this with the intention of only doing the van, but I just couldn’t pass up an excuse to make the turtles.

Challenge was a lot of fun, learned a couple new tricks in Zbrush along the way. All the other entries and threads have been fun to watch, good luck to everyone!
