Helzer's Sketches

Your work is great. I get really inspired to sketch more. Maybe you should use reference for details when you have the concept layed out ? Just an idea.

johanflood - Thanks! Yeah reference is always a good idea. I have a couple anatomy books that I peak into when needed. If I ever develop something further, I would probably look for more references. Although I try not to relie on them too heavily, because I feel digital art can easily become over-worked when using reference. Well, thanks again for your comments.

Kalorlo - Thanks, too! Your comments regarding my two finished pieces are pretty accurate. They need to leave more of an impression.

In regards to the Fuzzy brush, I’m not sure what that is? Is it a Painter brush? I have Painter and I use it for about 20% of my work, but I’m not well versed in it. Actually there’s just a hand-full of brushes I use in Painter. I’m definitely more comfortable in Photoshop.

In any case, both your remarks are most appreciated:)

You know that if you draw any faster you won’t need to type.

I’m still digging your work and checking in daily.

I like that spider woman. this inspires me to paint.

#109

Did you stop?

#110

Hi Pushav,

No, I plan to resume. I’ve just been working late the last couple of weeks. As a result, my eyes are pixel-fried by the time I get home. I’ll definitely get something posted this weekend. Thanks for your interest.

#111

I changed my mind.

#112

I love this one. The contrast is perfect and the the brushstrokes are once again amazing. I’m jealous.
Keep it up.

Nice monster. Glad you’re back. Miss your paintings.

#114

Lol yes more. I had to try and get you out of retirement.:wip: Lol.
Nice one. I could never paint until I get back home and late at night when there are no distractions.

#115

Thanks everyone for your comments. It’s late…gotta crash…

#116

Last time I nagged about your work being unfinished looking… You’ve improved alot! Much more detail you’ve got now in your work. Looks excellent. A bit more detail and a bigger version and I’d buy this work for my wall!

… if I had the money.

Your characters are becoming more and more interesting and out there.

Good job so far.
