Hi, i am working on this and when i applied this substance material on the shoulders, some of the face appears in black. I applied this same material on the legs and arms but they are fine. and also when i see this in render view using mental ray(view point 2.0), the material looks plane gray. when i use other the view port, it turns out exactly like the photo like how some parts of the shoulders are black. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thank you very, very much.

a couple of test you can do
1 have you tried invert the normals? and test
2 verify no double face are on top of each other in that region, select vertex components and then click one on one of them and move it to see if there is not hiding faces.
