now, i’m not happy at all. last weeks was for customizing my modo interfaces, keys and buttons, after all is done, today, for some reason, modo start to encounter error, and wont run, i just moved the modo.cfg outside it’s folder and modo run again…
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i can’t express it, plz anyone can help me to get back my layouts and settings saved in that file that wont to let modo run, it’s really a pain in the @$$ to rework all the customization again, actually i get board from now, just thinking about it.
help help help.

can you post your modo.cfg, then try to test on my system to see what’s going on.

ok, here i get to solve this prob, i just do config import for a saved layouts cfg.
and for the menus and customization of forms and buttons, i tried to import the old MODO.cfg, it loaded but closing modo and open it again “it will crash b4 load”, so i extract the menu part from the MODO.cfg, saved it as menu.cfg file, and then loaded it from MODO, close modo and run it again, yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhh everything is ok.

and yes sure joo, i’ll up this config, maybe u’ll find it usefull for ur workflow too :slight_smile:

ok, her’s the first release of this customization.
please not that there will b a fully new keymapping, still in work.
but u have to take care of secret keys for now:
() modes (ctrl+) menu bar
(F9) modeling module
(F10) texturing module

hope u like it, any comment is welcomed.

I’d like to point out that ` is a special key and hard to access on other keyboard layouts than US keyb. lo. For example I would have to press Shift+´ which is a whole different shortcut to modo than the one you intended.

sorry para for the key, but as i said, the keymap is not customized yet, it’s just a first image, did u liked the layouts? :slight_smile:

Not usable on my 1024*768 resolution here on my home computer so can’t say much about them…looked a bit like LW from what I did see.

Hi,
I’ve seen your layout. I agreed not usable on my screen resolution too. Some how i feel why my screen sooo small. Its time to think to get a 21’ one:scream:
Here I’d like to share with you my layout, still wip not completed yet. do a Config Import… on File menu, import both Form and Layout.cfg then go to Layout menu > Layout > choose the newly imported layout.
Hope you’ll like it. But please forgive me the bugs, you’ll find few extra viewport like _clone, unnamed_vp0, unnamed…since i don’t know how to delete those viewport. and please backup your own .cfg first:)
