*Help* Falling Dominoes... Anyone successful?

#1

Hi All.

I have a project where animation includes dominoes knocking over each other. My searches on this forum and web have led to some insight but no definitive solution:

and

Has anyone found a stable, minimum work-around way, to do the domino effect in Lightwave? By any chance has Proton posted one of his amazing tuts that can be translated into domino falling animation?

Many Thanks in advanced.

I have got this to work well except after they have fallen over I can’t stabilize them and they shiver and vibrate.

do a better search here and spinquad as theres been several posts the past few years, and also recent ones on how to stop them from shivering…

there is StopByStabilizer but its not reliable, and theres a Gravity technique posted recently.

The StopByStabilizer method didn’t work for me. I will have to see what that gravity technique is all about.

I’ll further my search on SpinQuad past Serge’s solution:

Thanks for the tip.
