Hello,
my name is Luke Schuetzle, I am producing a short film called Ender. It is a 4-5 minute Post-Apocalyptic film about a solider who has to return the head of his former comrade to his wife. It is a live action short and we currently have one more scene to shoot to have it finished. Now my question lies in that we will be looking for some CGI effects to be put in the film. My problem is I know nothing about CGI and the terms and lingo i need to use in order to relate what we need done in our film. Basically this is what we are looking for. We have a shot we would like a CGI mushroom cloud in the background, character will be walking away from camera and cloud would be in the background. We also have some modern buildings that we would like CGI to look run down and wrecked. Have some small shots of smoke we would like in the background. If you guys would be so kind to help me with what terms and things I would be asking a CGI artist to do, it would be much appreciate. We are professionals and I now how much people like being treated like a professional.
