Help creating a Game and Rigging

#1

Alright, I wasn’t sure where to post this but It has to do with rigging as well as creating a game. I am using the Blender 2.69 (Latest Version) and they have a lot to offer. I am new to the version but not new to blender and I have a few questions and ideas that maybe some of you can help me with. First of all I have played around a lot with creating my game using the blender game engine and it seems fantastic so far! Except a few problems I’ve ran into. I am not good at all with python I’ve done most of my scripting in C++ and I’ve noticed a few categories resembling C++ but python is a unique language and I wasn’t sure if my questions concludes by using a Python script or if I should use constraints. So here it is: I have made a character and animated him with the Human Meta-rig rigging system that blender offers. He has full movement animation and I have included the MouseLook.py script on the camera for first person so I can look around and run around no problem! Although I ran into a brick wall… I need to know how to go about giving him a weapon. Now he will use a different run animation when he has a Primary Assault Rifle equipped but I am unsure how to make the gun and his hands follow the camera without ruining my rig. Is there a way to constraint the individual Inverse Kinematic bones to the Gun so when the camera moves the Gun moves which in turn force the IK Bones to move and making his arms move as well? If anyone could help that would be awesome! Or if you have a better way of doing this then please do tell!
