Hi,
I have been using C4D for a few months now on Mac. I was previously running on Snow Leopard, however, I have just upgraded to Lion and it has caused a few problems in C4D. My viewport now takes a while to update a change whenever it is made. Playback of animation is also now non-existent, it just stays on the same frame until playback is stopped at which point it will then update to whichever frame I have stopped it on. Turning off OpenGL slightly helps but it means I can only see an animation playback in wireframe.
I’m thinking that it may be a graphics card issue as temporarily switching my existing one for another made a slight difference (but it was still problematic). So if anyone has any advice on an ideal graphics card or whether it could be something else then it’d be of great help!
System:
Processor: 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Memory: 5 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
Graphics: NVIDIA GefORCE 7300 GT 256 MB
Hopefully this all makes sense!
Thanks to anyone that can help.
