Hello from down South

#1

Just wanted to say hello to all fellow CGS members and looking forward to the creative environment.
Being connected in a society of extremely talented people and artistic geniuses makes me want to work my ass off.
Thanks and see you all round the forums

Thanks Rebecca, yeah crazy is cool.

I was going to throw some pics into the “Random Photos…” thread but since its on page 588 or something already I figured its better to post some here on my “hello to all” posting so you can see what I do for fun…

Here I am at uShaka Marine World - Durban

And here I am at Madikwe Game Reserve, catching lions for Eco-tourism purposes

Notice it was a few years ago when I was still a bit fatter
and heres one (I’m in the yellow vest) having a picnic in Mozambique… we rented the catamaran for the day - I dont own it…yet

and the other side of the spectrum, snowman building (a beer to the person who can spot where this photo is taken)

Well thats a quick round up of me… bush, sea, sand, animals and a little snow…

Nah, you just kind of have to jump into the crazy long thread and starting posting…it’s kind of like learning to swim in the ocean…

#5

Thats all fine but I would hate to post something thats been mentioned twenty times before.
If statistics are anything to go by… then normally in a normal thread of say ten pages somebody repeats something already posted at least twice. Which means that in a 588 page thread there are going to be at least 100 postings of me with sharks

DarrinH,

Holy crap, you have an amazing life!!! Those pictures are just amazing!!! You should definitely post the lion pic in the mega thread at least!!! I-Is the lion dead? Good grief, that looks scary!!!

Wow, thanks for posting these pictures! They’re the most adventurous I’ve seen on CGTalk!!! :applause:

awww, geez… you made me blush. Actually its all thanks to my macho brother, Declan…

He’s in the Eco Tourism Biz and pretty much organizes me with all the coolest holiday.
We were catching those lions to put a radio collar so he can use the telemetry to find them and monitor their movements. They are very much alive, just darted…fast asleep and purring. Here are the others from other times…

#8

Wow! Amazing!!! Shades of Ernest Hemingway…

Except we get to drive around in a 4X4 and return to an air conditioned house with electricity at the end of the day… he is trying to write his memoirs though…
