HCR MINI-Challenge #42 Goodbye Ghibli-Graves of the fireflies-Setsuko

Hello, I’m new and this is my first time to attend a HCR challenge.

    I love Ghibli! I saw almost all movies. But grave of the fireflies is one of my favorites. 
    That's why I chose this movie.

I started with the head of Setsuko. I tried to find a look between the anime and a realistic face of a child. I changed the head a couple of times.

So fare so god. I worked on the body and made the base meshes of the shoes and her clothes.
I changed the face a little bit again. The proportion of her body are not perfect now. I have to correct the legs. And the hands are still creepy XD

It was really hard to find the perfect height for her. She is really tiny in the movie.

Puuhh a lot of work is done. But isn’t over yet XD
I detailed the shirt and the shorts. I changed the hands and the arms and the proportion of the body. The shirt and the shorts are not finished. But I like the wrinkles (: I’m satisfied.

I checked out the pose. It worked better than I thought. Now I have a better feeling of her shirt and how it falls.
Next: Shoes and the hair.

I Changed the hair again and started with the boots. (:
And I adjusted the clothes and the arms.

Next: more details and BG and face expression

Very good character and his boots looks pretty good, but I get the impression that his face does not seem a child, tends to be older.

the character is a female one (:

But thx! I appreciate your advice.
Hm it is really hard to find a good look for a child.
Maybe I should soften the section of the mouth and the chin.

Puuuhhh last update before I start the retopo and polypainting ><
The extra time was the perfect gift!

The sculpture has not so much details. Question of time.
I changed the face again XD and her left hand is now a little fist.
